Elecraft Frequency Memory Editor
#34045 Is there an easy shortcut i can use to switch between SSB and Data ? i have a K3s with the MH2 microphone.. Does the Frequency Memory Editor have the capability to make those changes? Maybe the rear panel Mic connector? Right now i have to turn the VOX off for SSB go to Menu, find Mic Select, turn to F.Pl Bias... etc. Then going back to Data i have to tune the VOX on, go to the menu, etc etc. Thanks Paul w0rw |

#34047 Is there an easy shortcut i can use to switch between SSB and Data ?What's wrong with the MODE switch? Tap down twice to go from SSB and Data ... tap up twice to go from Data to SSB. Connect your computer sound card to 'Line IN' (sound card speaker) and 'Line Out' (sound card mic/line input). Right now i have to turn the VOX off for SSB go to Menu, find MicWhile in SSB tap MENU, select Mic SeL and set to FP.L and turn on bias. While in DATA, tap menu, select Mic Sel and set to Line In. Selecting mode will then automatically select the input (mic or Line) - no need to make changes. Yes, you may still have to turn the VOX On/Off as Elecraft *STILL* after all this time refuse to store the VOX status separately for data and voice (SSB, AM, FM) modes but you *can* configured most data software to assert PTT on a serial port or switch TX/RX using software commands. 73, ... #34051 Thanks for the ideas, i have found other guys who have had this same issue. i downloaded the K3 Programmer's Reference manual... Daunting... i didn't find any examples that fit, i better not mess with any of that stuff. My WSPR data is going into the USB Mode so i can't switch to the Data Mode. That may be the answer, if i can get my Data going into the Data Mode then when i go from Data to USB using the Mode switch, i won't have to go through the Menu to switch the Mic F,Pl and Bias. It looks like the Macro programming function, P.11.1.2 in Fred Cady's Book, could preform the task but just a bit to complex for me. End of topic. XXXX Paul w0rw |
#34055 Paul, Perhaps one of the users on the list might have written the macro and you could simply copy it. That part is quite easy. I have no use so I have not written.
